GEOGRAPHY OF EGYPT PROJECT DUE FRIDAY!

What do we learn about?

Welcome to social studies!  I am so excited to teach you about our past.  We begin our journey with the Stone Age and work our way through Ancient

Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, China, Greece, and Rome.  While learning about these different places during their ancient times, we will study their geography, influential people, and realize how they shaped our world today.  Along with the civilizations, we will be learning about the 5 major world religions which are Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, & Islam.

Now, I know social studies can be boring, but I know you can find something that you will love hearing about during our lessons!  TOGETHER, we can make this as fun as possible!

Extra Credit Assignment:

We are studying Ancient Egypt!  For an extra 100,

please complete  a replica of a landmark in Egypt.

This can be a pyramid, sphinx, temple, the Nile River, mummy tombs, mummy, etc.  After creating our replica, you need to write a paragraph explaining what that object was used for.  Good luck!  I know they will look great!

In our class, officer Bullins comes to teach us about resisting drugs, gangs, & violene.  As a project for this program, students are required to bring in ten food items that are easy to open for students.  These food items will go into RCMS's backpack program for students who need assitance with food over the weekends.  If you cannot bringin ten food items, then your student should write a one page paper, double spaced, about how food drives help the community.  This will count three times in the gradebook and is their grade for participating in GREAT!  This is due on December 17th!
